Apart from Maajid Nawaz, who else unequivocally condemns barbaric punishments such as stoning? Obviously the "nothing to do with Islam" brigade don't care much for someone who dare say it has got
something to do with Islam.
I don't know all of Maajid Nawaz' views, but any British muslim who actually care for their own and their children's future in Britain, should choose someone like Maajid Nawaz over hypocrites such as Mehdi Hasan (non-muslims are animals, dis-belief is a disease) and Mo Ansar (slavery is fine if there is no "oppression" involved).
I don't think people like Mehdi Hasan and Mo Ansar comprehend how muslims who just refuse to integrate and adopt humantistic principles, are fueling anti-muslim bigotry. Especially Mo Ansar seems like a bit of a clown, with his multiple twitter accounts.
Obviously no one is infallible (least of all Mohammed), so Maajid Nawaz most likely has made plenty of mistakes himself, but at least he acknowledges the problems Islam and muslims do have, instead of burying his head in the sand and shout "nothing to do with Islam, nothing to do with Islam". Its just a mere coincidence that religious minorities are maltreated in almost every muslim country, obviously nothing to do with Islam.
