Don't worry it's Infidel Taqiyaa. CEMB really hates muslims, we just pretend to be nice to get them on our side and THEN its off to the "education" camps.

Is there any chance of you getting this thing back or is it too late?  If not, I suggest that you go run for it, before the train leaves Cry

My family made me give my first love up, and I haven't seen him face to face for years.

When I texted him this year about the fact that I had kept my feelings towards him hidden for far too long, he sounded angry and unwilling to forgive me.

It's a long, complex story. There is someone in my life who's more important than my first love, and I had built my own life after my first love, but you know sometimes you can't help wonder 'what if'.

And it wasn't like just an ordinary relationship with my first love back then during years 2005-2006. We had wanted to marry each other, we were DETERMINED to marry each other, he did far more for me than anyone had ever seen..but family issues had to come up and I was too young to be patient. Nyeh.

=( It still saddens me sometimes to think about it, but it's life.

It helps you, I get it, and you know of no other way.

Just dont rely on it, as it doesnt work (you'll have to take science's word for it, if not do a proper experiment yourself).

Your actions, determination, deeds (& chance) are what will make things happen.

Well fasting and solat (two of the pillars of Islam) are actually fulfilling to me..I don't see them as empty rituals, and it's not necessarily always because I expect/ crave for rewards.. Even though I believe we are rewarded for actions and good intentions..

But hey like I said, I suppose I don't want to fight about religion.

I'm here as attempt to build bridges or understand other people who might be going through tough times as well  grin12

I can see that you find them fulfilling, in the same way that people of other faiths find their ancient customs & superstitions fulfilling.  Just dont expect them to make a difference, thats all I was saying, as you didnt want to get into a debate about religion.

    Welcome, wizzie!!

...and I do not intend on apostating.

It is the saddest thing to feel misunderstood by your own family, who are supposed to love you and cherish you the most.

In my experience, 'relatives' take care of you out of blood obligations but tend to actually understand you the least.  It's the friends that you hand-pick to be a part of your inner circle who truly love you and are your real 'family.'  Occasionally you get lucky and are actually able to pick a relative to be in your inner circle who truly knows you, but it's a mistake to assume that all your relatives will act that way.

There's no one who will stab you in the back faster than a relative.

It's interesting that you say this.  I've never thought about it like this, and it's got me thinking about my situation.
