Yes the blind twist suggests guidance from a supernatural power.

Having watching the clip again I see that I was wrong.  I saw the bullet hole in the centre of his clothing at the back of his neck (it was his hood), but if you look to the left you see the bullet exit rather than ricochet.  The hole was badly placed, it would be impossible for a bullet shot from directly behind him to hit that point on his hood without going straight through his neck.

Even though the film does not show outright supernatural protection you just know that religious people are supposed to be sitting there saying "That's just too coincidental, it's obvious god is protecting him!"  It's like faith, you can't see it outright but it must be there.  That's what they are hinting at.

Accuracy is important, even when the subject is unimportant.  What we are all in agreement though I believe is that

    THIS FILM IS SHIT!

Denzel was crap at being blind too.  There were many points at which you could clearly see that he was sighted, such as when he was in the old couple's house looking out of the window deciding who to shoot.

Can we talk about a good film now? Seriously waste of brain cells here.

What is the latest best film you've seen?

Yeah I don't like movies about Iraq.

I'm gonna watch something old now, a kung fu film with either Jackie Chan (like Super Cop Police Story) or one with Jet Lee (Fist of Legend)

3 kings was a film about Iraq, I really liked that film.

One of my favourite films though is a South Korean film called "Old boy", great film! Smiley

Actually 3 Kings was good. It was before the war though. I can't watch any post-war movies about Iraq.

I love Old Boy, love it. And the fight scenes in this shit film are directly inspired from the fight scene in Old Boy.

So was another fight scene in the movie Repo Men, tight hallway, many enemies, one man, with a weapon, all of them fall down.

None of them have come close to that fight scene in Old Boy though.

You mean post 2nd Iraq war right?  3 kings is based on a time period at the end of the first gulf war.

If you like Oldboy, I suggest you watch the rest of Park-Chan Wook's Vengeance series. 'Sympathy of Mr Vengeance' and 'Sympathy of Lady Vengeance' are the first and last movies in this trilogy with 'Oldboy' being the second. I prefer Mr Vengeance as the plot is a lot more engaging than the other two films, yet I find myself watching Lady Vengeance more often(as it actually Wook actually had the budget to make this film as intended) because I like its OST better.

By the way, it is REALLY IMPORTANT that when watching lady vengeance you watch the Fade to Black version as it adds to the effect of the movie(I can't say too much w/o spoiling it).

I enjoyed lady vengeance but Mr Vengeance was utter crap Smiley  Old Boy is certainly the best of the 3 though Smiley

I think if you're used to Chan-Wook's style that he used in Oldboy and Lady Vengeance, I can see why you dislike Mr Vengeance as it's more character-driven than plot-driven. The plot is only engaging because of the way the characters are represented and I find that to be more important. But I see your point as the plot on its own is sorta mundane.

If Mr Vengeance had the Fade to Black effect of Lady Vengeance, I think the movie would have been a lot better(it makes more of a difference then it sounds like it does).
