    Well there is a news link at on that 26 year old hostage Kayla Mueller who was killed by Isis/murdered isis or died in American bombings on ISLAMIC ROGUE OF ISIS.  Strange news is getting published/discussed about her..  So let us learn a bit about her life .. She died helping some unfortunate folks...

    Probably the same reason the slightest criticism against islam means hating muslims. Can't separate one from the other. Richard Dawkins once had a debate with a rabbi who called him anti-semitic for being critical of the god of the old testament.

    Tough question. The major factor I see was isolation of competing religious views created during the Reformation period due to colonization. Colonization enabled various groups to form into autonomous, semi-autonomous and/or self-sufficient settlements without government oversight due to distances and costs of maintaining such a government in a colony. This created a situation in which splitting due to ideological differences was preferred rather than reform. Think of the Morons and Utah. This created a feedback loop in which horrible ideologies could survive in groups of "yes men" with little challenge or change. There was always a lack of a centralized government, by the time's standards, so groups were left largely to their own devices. Combined with the emergence of America and it's freedom of religion people were still free to develop their own ideologies with little fear of any form of government beyond a local one. This created a situation in modern times that people are still free to say and think whatever they want. There are many rural areas in which one favour of Christianity forms the whole community. So horrible ideas still survive and thrive. There is also the political isolation which follows religious lines. This is due to the defection of the Dixiecrats and Southern Democrats (racist assholes) during the Civil Rights movement.  It also has become a sort of taboo to criticize anyone's religious view if they are Christian by major leaders. So many go unchallenged all the time that many break the law regarding religion in government on a regular basis.

    There are many other factors but better to keep it simply. I can go into more if you like.

    If you think about the radical Muslims, well every Muslims since everyone is a radical in their view, these people rant about are just like them. They are just part of the wrong religion.

    If it is propaganda then I would expect it is Yezidi propaganda. The source for the information is two Yezidi women that were also enslaved by ISIS. The Yezidis obviously want a full scale American intervention. So it would be logical for them to fabricate the story as it will obviously anger a lot of Americans who might then vote for a presidential candidate that would take a harder stance against ISIS.

    Then again I would not doubt that ISIS would do something like this either....

    I must admit the thought had crossed my mind. It almost seemed too perfect as a piece of propaganda since it involved Bagdadi himself, even considering the large number of horrible things ISIS do.
