I've flown in a plane in turbulence and believe me, I really did NOT subconsciously or consciously recite any surahs or do any Islamic duas or anything.

Infact, during the course of the flight I remember cursing Muhammad and Islam a few times.

Hmm, I can't remember any surahs or Arabic duas anymore now. Even when I was still a Muslim, I didn't memorise them much. I completely stopped praying the obligated 5 prayers daily thingy many years now (also, I can probably count on my fingers how many times I succeeded to complete all 5 prayers in a day--always hated praying! Never saw the point, not my language!), so I have forgotten how to do the prayers too.

I used to talk to god in general though (I mean, in my own language), but most of the time was to curse him! Or if I wanted something. I stopped doing that ever since I admitted to myself that god doesn't exist and I only have myself.
