Well this is what I put (if it gets published I'll post a link in this thread):
The "miraculous" eloquence of the Qur'an
When an English speaker questions the claim that the Qur'an is a work of miraculous poetic beauty, a common Muslim response is that if only they could read it in the original Arabic, they would think again.
Well, an ex-Muslim Arabic speaker from the Council of Ex-Muslims of Britain has just published an excellent youtube video [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CHm2xigkBc][1] undermining the claim that the Arabic Qur'an is a work of divine eloquence.
The second half of the video demolishes the other main pillar of belief that the Qur'an is a miracle - that it reveals scientific knowledge ahead of its time. One of the unusual things about that part of the video is how it highlights clear missed opportunities in the Qur'an for Allah to demonstrate his omniscience.
It makes me wonder if undermining the crediblity of the Qur'an as a supernatural text, particularly by Arabic speaking ex-muslims, could be the best way to weaken Islam.

I hope that's not too bad. I almost send myself to sleep the way I write! The footnote thing is just to do with their text editor - in the preview the link is all in the main text. I included the last sentence as something contentious to further help meet their guidelines that it should stimulate discussion. It says it normally takes 2-3 days to appear if the moderators choose it, so we might have to be a bit patient. Sorry in advance if it doesn't do the trick, but fingers crossed. Someone else could always have a go.
