No still Muslim but really losing my Imaan... stopped practicing as of last week.
I think I'm in a state of 'cognitive dissosonance', as HighOctane would say...
That is a big word., sofian86 DO NOT LOOSE YOUR IMMAN .., but I think you should open an school similar to that lady with these goals in mind.. Muslim families could use that
1. Children are not pets.
2. The life they actually live and the life you perceive them to be living is not the same life.
3. Don't take what your children do too personally.
4. Don't keep score cards on them - a short memory is useful.
5. Dirt and mess are a breeding ground for well-being.
6. Stay out of their rooms after puberty.
7. Don't worry that they never listen to you; worry that they are always watching you.
8. Learn from them; they have much to teach you.
9. Love them long; let them go early.
in fact all families could use those lessons..
What is their in Imman??
Be good.. do good.. Us ethe golden rule as much as you can in your life. Once you learn to do that, YOU DON'T NEED ANY RELIGION AND ANY RELIGIOUS RITUAL.. j
ust one statement in life will replace ALL THE RELIGIOUS BOOKS OF THIS PLANET..
That is good enough for any god/any allah to take care of you in this life and after this life., Allah will take care of you
with best wishes
