well i read this under that link...

    Quote
"Labour MP Keith Vaz has expressed his support for the reintroduction of UK blasphemy laws – provided they "apply equally to everybody."  His comments were reportedly made at an event organised by the Muslim Council of Britain to explore responses to terrorism and extremism, held in London on 12 November."

Muslim Council of Britain should have asked copying these laws    http://www.bbc.com/news/world-south-asia-12621225  AND APPLYING IN ENGLAND

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything
I renounced my faith to become a kafir,
the beloved betrayed me and turned in to  a Muslim

He said it should be applied evenly to all religions. I'm not sure how that works: If Muslims assert that Jesus wasn't god, or Christians assert that Mohammed was never given divine inspiration, do they all end up in prison?

Actually, I might support such a law.  Cheesy

How would it even work in such a non-religious country?

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

This law would make all religions illegal!!  Cheesy

Eg. What does the quran say about polytheists? That would make it hate speech against hindus,  n'est ce pas?

Do we make the consumption of beef by muslims illegal as it may be offensive to Hindus?

This can only be one fustercluck of a law....... unless Vaz is actually highlighting the absurdity of such by bringing it up. Ya know.... reverse psychology an' all that.

Here is a test to a theist...........go through their book and swap the word 'unbeliever' for Christian/Jew/Muslim whatever religion they happen to be.

eg. "Christians are fools" (Psalm 14:1)

or, "Muslims are stupid and have no sense" (Quran 2:171)

When they say that they are offended and might call this "hate speech" you can then reveal the trick and watch the embarrassing apologetics spew forth.

I am better than your god......and so are you.
