One of the things that struck me as odd about the 'scientific miracle' convolution is that not one of its advocates can reconcile Islam with human evolution.
I found this article which claims (through some more semantic gymnastics and post-hoc rationalisation) that that argument doesn't hold much water (pun intentional). I think that site in particular would be considered 'kafir' by most Muslims since they reject the hadith, but in any case I'm curious to see what CEMB and individuals with a decent command of Arabic think (I can't say a unanimous cry of 'bullshit!' would surprise me).
http://free-minds.org/evolution-and-quran(24:45 and other places) Dabbah is defined as anything which has life and spontaneous movement. This includes all animals, including man, and every other one of the eight kingdoms of life (bacteria, protozoa, etc.) excluding fungi and plants.
Is it just me, or does it seem as though our author has never heard of 'common descent' before?
Muslims must understand that religious ideas can be interpreted in different ways in order to match the changing times. There is only one absolute truth, but as long as it does not contradict whatever truth exists in a certain point in time, the latter is acceptable.

Apologies if repost. It's a lengthy piece of writing most likely riddled with Texas sharpshooter bullet holes so be warned.
