Someone posted a "miracle" on facebook group

    Quote
"In deep seas and oceans, the darkness is found at a depth of 200 meters and deeper. At this depth, there is almost no light, and below a depth of 1,000 meters there is no light at all. (1)

( 1)Source: 61. Danny Elder, and John Pernetta, Oceans (London: Mitchell Beazley Publishers: 1991), 27

Today, we know about the general formation of the sea, the characteristics of the living things in it, its salinity, as well as the amount of water it contains, and its surface area and depth. Submarines and special equipment, developed with modern technology, have enabled scientists to obtain such information.

Measurements made with today's technology have revealed that between 3 and 30 percent of the sunlight is reflected at the surface of the sea. Then, almost all of the seven colours of the light spectrum are absorbed, one after another, in the first 200 metres, except for blue light . Below a depth of 1,000 metres, there is no light at all

This phenomenon could not have been known 1400 years ago. Here is how Quran Describes this phenomenon:

Or [the unbelievers' state] are like the darkness of a fathomless sea which is covered by waves above which are waves above which are clouds, layers of darkness, one upon the other. If he puts out his hand, he can scarcely see it. Those Allah gives no light to, they have no light. (Qur'an, 24:40)"

I posted a video of Islammiracle in response

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qryFbSu5Soc

he gave the following response to the video

    Quote

Firstly your video does not refutes the miracle it merely provides that other alterntive interpreation. but this point is irrelvant. the correct interpreatation of the verse is one whch is in scientific context. moreover i have already said that the mere fact that it is POSSIBLE to interprate a verse in a scientific manner is a miracle because most verse only have 2 to 3 altrenative interpreations at max and when we see that there are 30+ such prohphecies the probability that its just happened by chance is VERY VERY VERY LOW.

Seconly your video references books like illiaid etc . MUHAMMAD(PBUH) was NOT IN CONTACT WITH THESE BOOKS. THE BURDEN OF PROOF IS ON YOU TO PROOF THAT.

THIRDLY pearl divers cannot dive below the depth where sea becomes 100% dark so it is wrong to say Prophet knew from pearl diving. moreover Prophet never went to sea and never wen pearl diving.

i m not in science stuff....is there any detailed video refuting this claim Huh? or anyone here who can refute Huh?

Disbelief doesn't justify getting tortured in eternal hell

If you look down into deep water it looks dark. Easy. There's no need to complicate it.

given that the "deep dark sea" plays a part in like....every mythology in the world.....Like Tanaoa who was confined to "the depths of the ocean, where darkness and silence still reign" or The Kraken who "sleepeth where faintest sunlights flee" or Tiamat, the godess of darkness who lives in the abyss of the seas.....
Since pretty much everyone on earth was aware that the deep sea was dark, since forever.....this can only mean one thing.

    Miracles Everywhere!

this is the kind of bullshit i really hate from Muslims. Whenever we give them actual scientific errors in the Quran and hadith such as like 'sun sinks into muddy pool' or 'sun goes to prostrate in front of allah' or 'mountains are like pegs' or 'creation in six days', they say that those verses were meant to be 'allegorical' and not to be taken literally, despite the context obviously being not the case. But then they pick another verse that is clearly meant to be allegorical (unbelievers are like the darkness of the sea), and suddenly these cunts shout 'OMG SCIENTIFIC MIRACLE MASHALLAH ALHAMDULILLAH LAILAHA IL ALLAH'
