Alternatives to religion...

Something that was integral to my deconversion from Islam was being presented an alternative spiritual narrative that I could adopt.

So I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread to pool our favourite presentations of alternatives to religious narratives.

Maybe it can be a source of emotional comfort for people struggling post-deconversion, or people scared to challenge their beliefs?

My alternative to religion: Literature: scientific literature, historical literature, novels.

Almost any book besides holy books makes for great reading.

In my opinion a life without curiosity is not a life worth living

I agree. I love to learn about all sorts of things, but to prevent myself from diverging from current uni work I decide I won't read other works, but then I find myself not doing any uni work anyway and wasting time. So my current general learning speed is slow snail pace.

SAME PROBLEM I'm not in uni but desperately trying to bring up my high school marks so that i can get into the one i want.

But as soon summer vacation comes. Reading books and CEMB all night Yes i know im nerd...
