Ethnicity is not only about race, it is about any group including artificial ones such as religion because they come with their own cultural practises.

The Sikh insitutions want to keep the Sikh religion and identity strong and alive. Thats the agenda. They are afraid of them integrating and dissolving in Indian/Hindu community.

So if I convert to Sikhism am I changing my ethnicity? Sounds like genetic manipulation to me! A new field in science perhaps?

Also I am of Greek Cypriot origin, but I dont speak greek. The alphabet is just too weird! So I dont know what to put on the census. Help!

Sikhs are mainly Punjabis and I see no difference in them or Pakistani Muslim Punjabis. They hit the same drums
