Welcome, Senga!
Christopher Hitchens had once said: "'Take the risk of thinking for yourself, much more happiness, truth, beauty, and wisdom will come to you that way".... and I'm glad to see you have. If you're still climbing on some parts, let me tell you that the view from the top looks absolutely spectacular. Your journey there is what you make it, so embrace it when you get there and feel the wind between your toes as you step on the on the crisped leaves of your past religion and its overconfident ideologies, for that crunch could not sound any more delicious.
Now, on a totally unrelated note, care to dance?
well.. that sounds beautiful, but it's not very recognizable to me. It's been ages since I left my faith, which had me asking questions since I could read the children's bible. Its not that I was so brainwashed that breaking away from it made me a whole different person. I wish I could say I am on the top, but I am not and in my view this has nothing to do with believing or not believing.
But err.. yeah, I love dancing

Hi Senga your story is mine too.

Hi Merry_Squirell, so, how have you experienced breaking away from your faith? Do you recognize what mindboom wrote above?
