  • Phone-in discussion on BBC Asian Network
     OP - November 28, 2013, 08:33 PM

Following the BBC Radio 4 programme, Leaving the Faith, BBC Asian Network had a long phone-in discussion on the issue of apostasy among the Asian community in the UK.

It's interesting, sad and funny all at the same time. I fucking love it when religious fundies of different religions (Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs and Christians) are pitted against each other and make insanely stupid arguments. Cheesy  There really needs to be more of this!  Hopefully when they go home they will brood over it and feel like they were looking in the mirror when arguing with their counterpart fundies.

Sorry for those outside the UK if you can't listen to this.  Try using a proxy.

I am not in UK and I was able to hear it http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b03jpd4c

Just listened to it and loved it. It was kind of hilarious, sad, and frustrating how bigoted religious fundies of all stripes obviously are.

The honour killing bit they moved onto was chilling.

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

    Thank you very much.
