On this forum you simply paste the youtube URL, it auto-embeds.

Thank you all for your help but I'm afraid I'm no further on. I've tried everything suggested and every variation of the suggestions I can think of, but I still can't get the actual video to embed in the post as is done in the "Daisy Chain" thread, at least not in the preview. Copying the url just gives me a url link in the preview, not the actual video.

The problem is that I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if there is a problem with my setup. I have no problems using other BBcodes.

Would someone please be kind enough to walk me through the process "Idiots Guide" style?

So it works ok in the actual post but not, apparently, in the preview. I should just have experimented a little more boldly.
