People can SEE that you wear a hijab and know that you are virtuous and righteous. They will not molest you and greet you as a sister should the occasion call for it. When people see a Muslim woman in a hijab they say 'Mash'Allah...she must shine like a diamond. She is a golden statue. You know, I have met Muslims from ME countries, not the subcontinent, who say the opposite.
They say the more covered up a woman is, the worse her character, and she is actually hiding something. Not the old ladies, but women of childbearing ages.
