I'm more in favour of integration of newcomers

Can't seem to watch the vid in Japan. Will try Youtube when I'm through with Game of Thrones Season 4 (always behind, me).

I can't imagine going somewhere and not trying to integrate. It makes life so much better and more interesting.

Of course you never truly do integrate; you retain a supplementary layer to your identity that enriches you as you further enrich yourself by adapting to new people and new ways.

Integration should perhaps be seen as a process of personal enrichment that in turn enriches broader society,. Break down the fear of loss of 'identity'.

Seems a bit far fetched to say having roast pork as a national dish/fav food is to piss off muslims.

At this year's annual citizen day where new citizens (many having been here for decades) are invited to the parliament Danish People's Party served stegt flæsk.

Obviously they were totally ignorant of Muslims not being able to eat it. Who would have known they would reject such a generous offer?

Also from the municipality I grew up in:

Mayor position traded for meatballs and Christmas trees

Yes, you can win an election here by being pro-pork. Because pork is one of the last bastions against the Muslim onslaught. Or something.

    David: Well said.

A lot of people espouse this claim, but when you speak to them further, it turns out they don't want 'integration'. They want assimilation.

So people were pissed off that they'd pay 60000 for Eid celebrations but wouldn't pay 7000 for a Christmas tree?

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

you said you believe in a supreme being, and you are in search of a god, do you still believe this?
