  • Hi LADIES AND GENTLEMENT
     OP - August 26, 2015, 09:50 PM

Hi every one. I'm from Somalia living in turkey for almost 3 years. I'm currently studding university. I converted to Atheists. my story of conversion of took a bit of longtime.  my family isn't really religious . since when i was young my father  wasn't kind of religious bully. even though  he used to call me to pray and go to the mosque he isn't that religious compared to my uncles and my relatives. My high school years i wasn't really serious about religion i remembered my cousins used to call me that they don't believe that i  don't pray or skip prayers. I have been atheists for 2 years now my journey to become atheists isn't really that interesting it's just came naturally in me after studied  philosophy, science. and widespread religious lies and contradictions.!

I'm living pretty secular country with no one interfere about your live and without no one tell you to worship Allah unless i reveal them to my friends. I'm about to graduate in 2 years. i want to go back to my country unfortunately in my country people are religious you aren't supposed to even ask anything when it comes anything against their their religions  or not supposed to ask. I feel like my life will be upside down like every one around is ready to simply call me kafir and tell me what to do! . sometimes i don't want go back my country and i have to  try everything i have to stay foreign country that i don't belong  like turkey or just to find exit to other better country. I know i'm the only one responsible for my future and all i have is this life so i want to do everything to live free and simple life. if you have any suggestion i'm highly appreciated if you share with me? besides sorry for my broken English!

    HI KIND SIR!

    Welcome to the forum.

I hope you find a way to stay where you are mate. And if you don't, bide your time and bite your tongue when back to Somalia? And work on finding a way back to us one day?

What do you study? Would your degree perhaps help you get a nice job in the West?

    Welcome. Your parrot. parrot

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'
