  • Looking for Original Sources on Sexual Slavery Rules
     OP - August 04, 2016, 05:36 AM

    Hello All,

I'm trying to find out the definitive rules in Islamic Law relating to sexual slavery.  I don't understand Arabic, and Muslims are not willing to speak honestly about this issue, so i'm struggling to find original sources.
I'm hoping someone in this forum can provide me with some sources and translations

Searching online i've been able to find relevant Quran ayah, and Hadith, but what i want is details of how the early
    Islamic jurists interpreted the rules.

I want to know from original texts like  Fath al-Bari, or Texts written by the Sunni Imams the rules on Sexual Slavery

    Specifically im looking for
Can a man have sex with a slave
Can a man have sex with a married slave
Can a man beat a slave
If a man can beat a slave, what crimes allow a slave to be beaten, i.e is disobedience a crime
is refusal to have sex disobedience

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
The internet is unfortunately drawing a blank.

A perfectly just God who sentences his imperfect creation to infinite punishment for finite sins is impossible
