Yesterday trump fired 59 missiles on a military base in Syria because of Tuesdays chemical attack.

Why would you bomb a military base where chemical weapons may be held?

Did you see the vid? they had a memo which describes that they would take out seven countries in 5 years?

    Iraq
    Libya
    Somalia
    Syria
    Lebanon
    Sudan
    Iran

This is from Wesley Clarks wiki page:

In Clark's book, Winning Modern Wars, published in 2003, he describes his conversation with a military officer in the Pentagon shortly after 9/11 regarding a plan to attack seven Middle Eastern countries in five years: "As I went back through the Pentagon in November 2001, one of the senior military staff officers had time for a chat. Yes, we were still on track for going against Iraq, he said. But there was more. This was being discussed as part of a five-year campaign plan, he said, and there were a total of seven countries, beginning with Iraq, then Syria, Lebanon, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and finishing off Iran."

It bothers me that wars are being planned and it should bother everyone really.

It bothers me a lot. I don't really understand how a country can just launch missiles to other countries with no consequences whatsoever. Planned or not, it's still disturbing.

This "might makes right" attitude is just wrong.

What can we do about it?

Hi Helaine -  We could share the video. Shine a light on it - like we do with religion.
Apart from that, I feel we can do nothing.

The bit where he quotes one of the generals : 'we've got a good military and we can take down governments'

    I despair.

The fact that the chemical attack was from a military base is enough of a reason in off itself? I don't know, I'm just trying to play devil's advocate. I don't know enough about the Syrian conflict if I'm honest. It's a tricky thing. On one hand if the international community does nothing then you're validating President Assad's actions. But if you retaliate like the US has done and is threatening even more, then you're risking opening a whole new can of worms. With regards to the clip, the neo-cons have these utopian ideas, of course of launching a series of wars. But the principle of standing up to a dictator who attacks his own people with abhorrent weapons is a cause of concern on its own?

Congresswoman Tulsi Gabbard, Ron Paul and Peter Hitchens (to name a few) have all questioned the evidence of Assad using chemical weapons at this particular time.   Its worth watching what they have to say I believe.   Assad had just been made aware (5 days prior to the attack) that the US was backing away from demanding he relinquish power.   The evidence on the ground has some questionable photographs where white helmets are touching the bodies of victims without wearing rubber gloves - which would be fatal with Sarin.   The area is under the control of Juhadists and on the ground verification by an independent investigation has not, and probably will not ever take place because of the dangers posed by the extremists controlling the area.

I'm disappointed that Trump was pulled into this action ... but I hope the hard evidence will at some point be made available.
