Specifically Marrakesh. I understand that it's very liberal compared to other Muslim countries but still is there anything I should be aware about in the city? Any taboos etc.

    Thanks!

Make sure that the taxi drivers have their metres on when they drop you places. If you are going to the Souk, don't buy anything unless you know how to bargain. There are a lot of people who will try to rip you off.

Moroccan cuisine in general is great, but street food in Marrakech can be pretty bad. Do your research before you go out to eat anywhere. I wasn't aware of any taboos that needed to be avoided, but then again I automatically switch to a prim and proper act when I go to a Muslim-majority country; it has become a habit. Just stay on the safe side and don't behave like those dumb British tourists who get really drunk in public spaces and bring shame on the rest of us, lol. You should be fine.
