Islam gets involved in much of culture so to say "it’s culture not Islam" is complete bullshit. Islam like all religion operates within a cultural not outside of it. In some countries you have parts of culture that have nothing to do with Islam e.g. forced marriages, but this does not mean that culture cannot simultaneously have harmful aspects of Islamic culture embedded in at the same time as non-Islamic harmful aspects of culture. In Pakistan it's a double whammy, where you have some parts of backward subcontinent culture and also some of the worst parts of Islam.

Islamic texts play a part in telling cultures what/how you can/can't eat, drink, dress, own/trades slaves, beat wives, cut parts of baby's genitals, marry kids etc. Different Muslim majority countries have different levels of laws enforcing these Islamic instructions whilst some ignore many Islamic texts. For example in some Muslim majority countries you can’t drink or buy alcohol whilst in others you can openly buy and drink alcohol publicly.

Do not let silence become your legacy.. Question everything
I renounced my faith to become a kafir,
the beloved betrayed me and turned in to  a Muslim

What exactly is the difference, since religion is basically the deification of a culture? Religion and culture have a symbiotic relationship where one feeds the other.

In some countries you have parts of culture that have nothing to do with Islam e.g. forced marriages

Islamically, silence equals consent. So if you have someone too terrified to say yes, not saying no means yes. Is that not forced marriage?

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

^ What's your source on that?
