the british muslim experience of celebrating the xmas holiday consists of either timid excuses or trying too hard to fit in. the below article is an example of the latter.

I'm a Muslim and I love celebrating Christmas- so do plenty of British Muslims around me

I was able too previously but pretty sure someone has disabled it. A moderator could probably fix the problem but probably more chance of santa converting religion.

a secular muslim at xmas, no quran in sight.

    Quote from:
Here in Belgium and in most of western Europe, Christmas has become a far more secular affair, effectively morphing into a winter festival for the majority non-churchgoing population, which is what it originally was before the arrival of Christianity. Despite my aversion to the runaway consumerism of the season, it is this merry, jolly, secularized festival that suits my unbelieving heart the most.

a muslim activist at xmas - islamic platitudes aplenty.

    Quote from:
It’s Christmas time and so it hasn’t taken long for a national newspaper to run a feature implying British Muslims are poorly integrated for “refusing to celebrate a Christian holiday”. The irony of this pernicious Islamophobia, feebly hiding behind the banner of defending the Judeo-Christian values of our country, is that it is bereft of any meaningful understanding of Islam.

You see, the thing is, Muslims love Jesus.
