     OP - March 22, 2009, 02:07 AM

I post on a forum called Religious Education. I have recently engaged in conversation with a muslim woman there who challenged me on my claims about Muhammad teaching bizarre things like Satan pisses in your ears, etc.

She really took issue with my allegation that Muhammad struck 'Aishah. So what did I do? I quoted the hadith from Sahih Muslim (Book 4, #2127) where it is written. She still refused to believe me, so I took a screenshot of it and even highlighted the section where 'Aishah says Muhammad struck her in the chest and caused her pain.

Her response: "That's a blatant lie. The hadith does not say that. Why do you have to lie? Al hamdu lilah!! There is no need to even go any further. You have been caught out and have to fabricate a hadith. Why? Because even you know the truth. Otherwise you wouldn't have to put your own words in the text."

What the hell can you say to THAT?! finmad

Ask her what that hadith really says, maybe?
Or ask her for a "trusted" online collection where that book is included and then link her to the specific hadith?

Do not look directly at the operational end of the device.

Ahhh, it turns out she was sidelining the main issue, and without revealing what she was talking about, focussing on a small and irrelevant aspect - typical of muslims that I've seen post online.

I had mistakenly remembered the hadith (so long and boring) as him sneaking to another wife's house. Turns out he didn't. But I made sure I pointed out the main issue was that Muhammad hit `Aishah. Naturally, this muslim discarded the bit on the beating, and went apeshit about my 'lies' about the other wife. Idiot.

    What do you do indeed!

    This is so typical, Pazuzu!

Most Muslims - at least the nice ones lol - believe in a completely imaginary Islam. One they made up in their minds.

They just can't get their head round the reality and shut it out.

I remember when I told a Muslim in Regents Park Mosque that Islam allows slavery when he was showing some Non-Muslims around the mosque. He had to be held back by a crowd after trying to beat me up, screaming I was a liar and a Zionist etc... (and that was when I was still a Muslim)  Cheesy

I called her on it, and asked her to copy & paste the hadith word for word. That's when she revealed it's because I'd mistakenly said he was sneaking off to another wife's house (he probably was, lol!). Up until then she'd repeatedly accused me of lying and never mentioned why. Just kept saying: "The hadith does not say that!"

She now claims we hadn't established a main issue to begin with, even though I had introduced the hadith as evidence Muhammad had struck 'Aishah.
