     OP - January 15, 2009, 09:50 PM

The fire-bombing of a  Starbucks in Whitechapel - and coming just after Saturday's trashing of a Starbucks opposite the Israeli embassy - here's an interesting post from Brendan O'Neill, at Spiked, on the whole "Starbucks-as-funders-of-Zionist-aggression" meme as it spreads through the feverish world of anti-Zionist activists:

    http://www.spiked-online.com/index.php?/site/article/6103/

Many of the claims about ?Zionist coffee? and a link between Starbucks and the Israeli military spring from a letter allegedly written by CEO Howard Schultz. Dated 11 July 2006, and titled ?A Thank You To All Starbucks Customers?, Schultz apparently said that ?with every cup you drink at Starbucks you are helping with a noble cause?: ensuring the ?continued viability and prospering of the Jewish State?. Schultz seems to say that the $5 billion donated by America to Israel every year is ?no way near enough to pay for all the weaponry, bulldozers and security fences needed to protect innocent Israeli citizens from anti-Semitic Muslim terrorism. Corporate sponsorships are essential [too]?. Schultz thanks Starbucks customers for helping him to raise ?hundreds of millions of dollars each year? to support the state of Israel. This seemingly Starbucks-damning letter has been on the internet for two-and-a-half years, and it now underpins much of the current anti-Starbucks, pro-Gaza protesting. It has appeared on anti-war websites; it has been cited as evidence by those spreading the ?Boycott Starbucks? SMS; Daily Egypt, an English-language paper in Cairo, says that ?Egyptians and Arabs [have been] circulating emails? containing the Schultz letter.

However, the ?Schultz letter? is a hoax; worse than that, it?s a piece of satire that has been accepted by some people as fact. The letter was written, not by Schultz, but by Andrew Winkler, an Australian-based ?anti-Zionist media activist? of German origin. It was published as a parody of Schultz, and clearly advertised as a parody, on the anti-Zionist website ZioPedia on 11 July 2006. Winkler later wrote: ?The Howard Schultz spoof letter has caused quite a bit of a stir? Howard Schultz never wrote that letter, I did.? Yet now it has become something like a modern, internet-shared version of the Protocols of the Elders of Zion: a hoax document supposedly written by a Jew which is cited by some people as evidence of Zionist wickedness.

They have been talking about boycotting starbucks on the muslim forums for a good few weeks now from what I have noticed, that letter was referred to aswell.

Inhale the good shit, exhale the bullshit.

I've been hearing this as well, not off muslims or people on the Internet but by people around me!  Its amazing how these urban myths spread.

I think they should boycott Starbucks, Intel, Apple, Nokia, Sony, Microsoft, Toyota, Philips etc. too. Perhaps they should also boycott western medicine, western aid and welfare too. You know. In support of the Palestinians and alll.

Everytime "science" (which is falsely called so), "discovers" something new, evolutionists have to go back and change some parts of one of their theories. Amazingly enough, no scientific discovery has ever caused Biblical creationists to have to change their stand.

When the danish newspapers printed the muhammad-cartoons the second time, if I remember correctly, the sudanese President Omar al-Bashir argued for a boycot of danish products. The responds of several commentators and politicians was 'well ok, we'll shut down the foreign aid' (Sudan being a country which recieve a fair amount of foreign aid from Denmark)

I've been hearing that for the past few years actually. "Starbucks is Jewish and we mustn't support it".

Yep, years. I always took exception with this "boycotting". Muhammad did business with Jews, he even died with his armour pawned to a Jew, so why should we not follow his sunnah, and do business? Tongue Conspiracy theories.

Do you remember something about a PEPSI conspiracy? Something about it being an acronym and the I stands for Israel. Oh, and Coca Cola reading No Mohammad or something in the mirror? Ah, good times.

    Pay Every Penny Support Israel

Mecca Cola wasn't that great. It was cute, but I'll stick with tasty Zionist Cola.

This is something that unites almost everyone from Nazis to Lefties and Islamists.

The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. A shady cabal of Jews running the world. The mighty Israel Lobby.

Once you buy into this conspiracy theory you not only become a nasty little racist tarnishing an entire race with an evil James Bondesque ulterior motive of world domination, you also become obsessed. You start seeing Jews everywhere.

Paul Wolfowitz is the head of the world bank. Michael Grade is Director General of the BBC, Coca Cola is Jewish, Starbucks is Jewish Jews, Jews, Jews everywhere scheming and murdering. It gets so bad that it's not enough to just hunt for Jews in high positions you have to accuse gentiles in power of being undercover Jews. Rupert Murdoch is a Jew, Tony Blair is a Jew wasn't George Bush's great great grandfather a Rothschild. Wait a minitue is Bilderburg a Jewish name..... Oh my god!!!!!!!!!!

    I'm nearly convincing myself Cheesy

Seriously anyone who goes in for this stuff whether it is Stop The War activist or a Muslim peace protester is a nasty racist in my book.
