  • Lyuba, the baby Mammoth
     OP - May 08, 2009, 02:59 PM

I was reading the National Geographic at our school library today,& I came across this article on a baby mammoth, infact the most perfectly preserved specimen of mammoth found till date.

She's been named Lyuba, after the discoverer's wife. She was a month old at the time she drowned & died, & was a very healthy little elephant calf.

I felt rather sorry for the poor li'l thing. :'(  She's 40000 years old now.

Wonder what the Young Earth Creationists make of her? Thinking hard

Easy. They'll say she drowned in the flood.

Devious, treacherous, murderous, neanderthal, sub-human of the West. bunny

She's a cute little thing, though.

You do know that the word "cretin", meaning a severely mentally impaired person, is derived from the French word "Chretin" which means "Christian".

So here in the States, we call them "young earth cretinists".

BTW, lots of people here in the States are apostatizing from Christianity.  (I did when I was 14.)  Unbelief and "new age" beliefs seem to be attracting the most converts.  Many christians are becoming "unchurched", meaning that although the person considers themselves a christian, they don't waste time at the bullshit factory any more.

Nice bit of etymology there SmartAss, I'm gonna have to use that word more often Smiley

    Here's another link on Lyuba.

She's a cute little thing, though.

She is very cute, & was the picture of health when she died.

Easy. They'll say she drowned in the flood.

But YEC's place the world's beginning 6000 years ago, & carbon dating says Lyuba died 40000 years ago, which is 34000 years before the world began according to them.

YECs already deny carbon dating, so that won't bother them.

As Cheetah said, they'll just claim the carbon dating is incorrect. I've seen how those guys operate.

Anything to cover up the bullshit inconsistencies of their religions. Even if it means killing the truth.
