  • Islam Question & Answer
     OP - May 12, 2009, 04:18 PM

If you don't know about this site - you should!

It answers ppls questions from the Salafi perspective (basic, literalist no-nonsense Islam lol) and you can even send in questions.

Many of the replies are hilarious - some very sad - and some will just make your blood boil.

It is a good resource when you want to know the Salafi/literal/no-nonsense Islamic view on any subject

    It is! Some are hilarious!

Yet this is the Islam a huge amount of Muslims follow very earnestly.

I remember years ago seeing a question on an Islamic website asking if it was permissable to delay urinating for as long as possible so that we can have pleasure urinating!

Thinking back, that was a pretty ridiculous question, and why was this guy worrying himself so much about that?!

Sounds like a good idea, which we could introduce here too?  Start a thread on question & answers maybe?

Does an erection break one?s wudoo??

do erections break one's wudu? please provide any evidences eg ahadith etc.

    Praise be to Allaah.

The Standing Committee was asked a similar question and they said:

Having an erection does not invalidate wudoo? if nothing comes out of the penis, because an erection is not one of the things that invalidate wudoo?.

You could easily make a Muslim soap opera out of these questions!

He committed sodomy with a young man and has repented. Is it permissible to him to marry the sister of that young man?

She is refusing those who propose marriage ? could it be sihr (witchcraft)?

Spouses who argue a great deal and she hits him. Should he divorce her?

He wants to kill his wife?s relatives after they robbed him and took his wife by deceit .

I know huh!? Sometimes I'd be looking for a specific question, and some of them just grab your eye. I try not to read it (?From the excellence of a man?s Islam is to leave that which does not concern him.? -Tirmidhi, et al) but I could not resist! Grin
