Hey guys im thinking of becoming atheist, please help me transition

hey guys just joined this forum and i am so happy to find a forum like this because i need some help

so to put a long story short, i was born and rasied in a muslim household, lived in egypt till 2000, we went to america (i was 8 years old then) and just came back this year in egypt to finish up school.

its funny because most would think that, living ina muslim country and being surrounded with islam would make you more religious, but ive started doubting it soo much because none of it makes sense.

im still kind of hesitant to become atheist and basically stop believing in islam, although i am very doubtful of islam and religon as a whole

so maybe you guys can show me websites that basically disprove islam and religon, and maybe even you guys can post comments disproving it and such

i appreciate the help, and im looking forward to making the right decision

Hi Eazy. Welcome! You have come to the right place.

I'm not the right person to ask...but there are alot of atheists here, and for the most part they are friendly, and I have learned they do not bite.

there are more options than Atheist or Muslim. Try agnosticism. After all none of us are certain about man life and universe

Take the Pakman challenge and convince me there is a God and Mo was not a murdering, power hungry sex maniac.

Welcome to our satanic abode. WHat is the biggest singe issue for you in Islam, and how did you find this forum?

By the way you dont have to make the the leap from theism to atheism in a single step. Hassan & I are happy as agnostics for the time being.

Being an ex muslim does not mean you have to become an atheist. It's all a series of steps, first step realising that islam is bullshit.....but maybe there is still a god maybe in one of the other existing religions, second step, seeing that all other religions are actually bullshit too, but maybe there is a god that hasn't made itself known, third step, realising that maybe there is no god at all.
