"Meh Sharabi" (I'm an Alcoholic), by Aziz Mian. I'm surprised that this Qawwali was popular and there was no uproar in Pakistan. I know that he doesn't mean that he is addicted to C2H5OH, but is talking about a sort of spiritual alcoholism, but I can't imagine the majority of people actually understood it that way and I would have thought most of the people thought that he loves a pint!

Have you heard 'Sharabi chor de peena' by the Sabri Brothers?  Well worth it.

Was that a response to Meh Sharabi?

Aziz Mian responded to Sabri Brothers' "Peena veena chorr, Sharabi" with his own great work "Hai kambakht, tu ney pii hii nahin"  bunny
