  • Mohammed a cross-dresser?
     OP - February 10, 2011, 03:19 AM

Sorry if this was discussed before: http://www.scribd.com/doc/46442646/The-Prophetess-of-Islam
Is this accurate, are those words saying what the author of the document says they do?

1: I don't think that dying your hair was uncommon. It certainly doesn't show you have cross dressing tendancies.
2: Egyptians used to apply eye liner to their eyes too. This article is judging a person by a different time + different culture.
3: Grappling does not make you homosexual, I have done it for years.
4: He kissed some other bloke on the chest.  Question is, did he really do it or is it made up, just like the splitting of the Moon was made up?
5: As for dressing in women's clothing. There's a verse about not crossdressing isn't there, or is my vague memory incorrect?

Ultimately, I don't give a fuck if he dressed as a woman or not.

I don't come here any more due to unfair moderation.

    Androgyny is cute.

is only one defense: the creative act.

    cool story, bro.

    Ah, freaking deleted. Anyway:

1: I don't think that dying your hair was uncommon. It certainly doesn't show you have cross dressing tendancies.

The article obviously didn't want to say only that Mo was a cross-dresser. Taken together, all 5 points you list do form an image of somebody whom Muslims today would prolly despise.

But he was not an Egyptian. And the article *should* judge him by our time and culture, what's wrong with that. He's not a pedophile because pedophilia was an accepted thing in those times? Fuck that, he's a pedo by today's standards, the only ones that matter.

Sure it doesn't. But put this aspect together with the rest and connect the dots.

That is the least thing that matters as for Muslims who believe it, it happened. I'm not really interested in the man Mo theoretically was, but in the Mo as he is perceived today, because this latter one is taken as an example by them.

I have no idea, but are we assuming there are no contradictions?

Me neither, but others who have a stake in this do give a big fuck if Mo was a cross-dresser...
