The IRA's methodology was completely different to the jihadis. Jihadis modus operandi is for carefully planned, long time scale mass killing atrocities, larger in scale than the IRA did. They also utilise suicide-bomber which presents its own issues of careful selection, brain washing, and deployment.

So we have numerous massive jihadi mass murders stopped through the work of intelligence agencies and the police in the last four years. We have actual failed bombings in which but for the grace of God hundreds of people will have been murdered at airports and nightclubs. And you still say they are not 'a major threat'. Unbelievable.

I repeat what I said above: the continual convictions and trials (constant, ongoing and consistent) and failed bombings, all intended to commit indiscriminate mass murder on a horrific scale, disprove the idea that there is a phantom threat fabricated or concocted by the media or by the government.
