Run-of-the-mill is the last adjectives I thought would be used to describe him. Especially as he's a post-marxist. But much of what he says fits well into traditional marxism.

What he's done excellently is applying Hegel to Lacan and then the resulting mess to critique liberal multiculturalism etc.. As he does blisteringly in Parallax View.

But short on political ideas, admittedly.

So what is his point - point out all the failures, and then say "we could do better". Even Kope could do that. I am still waiting to see what is so unique about him, apart from being a populist with cute affectations.
