Iran says atom bomb haram?

Iran's supreme leader said Friday the Islamic republic isn't seeking and doesn't believe in pursuing nuclear bombs.

Ayatollah Ali Khamenei made the remarks a day after a draft report from the U.N. nuclear watchdog said Iran may be working secretly to develop a nuclear warhead for a missile.

"Iran will not get emotional in its response to these nonsensical statements, because we have often said that our religious tenets and beliefs consider these kinds of weapons of mass destruction to be symbols of genocide and are, therefore, forbidden and considered to be haram (religiously banned)," he said.

"This is why we do not believe in atomic bombs and weapons and do not seek them."

Of course they're not telling the truth.

Like most religious leaders, they are in reality disbelieving manipulators who know there is no god but use god to control others. Deception is their way of life.

Well I think that part is true for all religious leaders.. not just the Iranian mullahs.

khomaini said a lot of things but the revolutionary guards have done the opposite of all of them and now they're taking over Iran completely. Iran will have a nuclear weapon very soon.
I truly believe that khomaini was being honest about this though! If he was alive he wouldn't allow Iran to go nuclear. Remember, he banned the use of chemical weapons when saddam was using them on Iranian soldiers, even though we had chemical weapons.
Anyways, I hope that one day I can take a big fat dump on his grave.

They might not use it, but what's to stop them from giving it to allied 3rd parties or puppet militias to use it?

I hope what he says is Truthful.

Atom bomb being haram!? that's an interesting statement. I wonder if muslims would agree that Nuclear weapons are bombs. I know that shithead osama has wet dreams about them but i wonder if the true muslims believe in Atom Bombs. After all its "allahs" job to annhilate the human race on the day of jahilliya, is it not? I need to ask my extremist friends i wonder what they're comments will be.?
