I like listening to foreign music, when it is of decent quality - where the singing doesn't sound like a screechy blackboard like that Indian singer. Being exotic doesn't make up for the inability for an individual to hold a note. Right now I am hooked listening to Rabih Abou-Khalil:

I liked hearing all the athans from different masjids in Kuwaita, I thought it sounded nice. Even after I left Islam it was still pleasant because it reminded me I didn't have to pray anymore. Granted, where I lived they were never too loud, and if I happened to be out somewhere near a masjid it could get annoying because of the volume.

That guy had a cool idea though, I just wish he had picked a better recording. I know that's like the standard one but I always hated it.
