  • Finally decided to join.
     OP - November 03, 2012, 08:24 PM

Know about this place since it was started but my life has been busy and never made an account since I was 18 and was more focused on making friends at uni.

Been agnostic since I was 12 but was treated well by the Muslim community (born and raised in a boring new town in the UK) and it wasn't on my mind until I started searching the internet.

Atheism wasn't a concept in my mind before 16. Neither was quantum physics or epigenetics but they existed and I came across them eventually.

Still live as a muslim in my hometown since the level of crazy is minimal and my family don't even expect me to go mosque except on Fridays and eid.

I don't really have a hatred anymore of religion (did when I was 18 but didn't last long) since the west is a safe place for atheists and wasn't forced to do anything too stupid by the muslim community.

Been on reddit for 5 years and couchsurfing for 1 year. Now starting CEMB.

Welcome. I can totally relate to your attitudes and have a similar experience in a way.

    Anyway, welcome.

Welcome! We have a local custom that includes the handing out of parrots, so have one of those  parrot

I'm trying to institute a Free Nando's for new joiners policy, but sadly the mods have been deaf to my entreaties. Ah well.
