    +1. i think war, nationalism and religion are 3 of the most stupid ideas which are considered ok by modern moral standards. i hope for a day when they'll be seen for what they are in the rear view mirror of human history.

    To summarise, all life on earth gets in energy from photosynthesis (sun & chrolophyll gives energy) . 

    Its a recycling merry-go-round, even carnivores who dont eat grass & leaves, get it indirectly by eating herbivores, who get it from eating greens.

    Because deep sea critters dont get light at those depths, they apparently get energy by digesting certain chemical elements.  Question is how?

    I remember a documentary about a very deep sea sub which discovered life on volcanic vents.  Instead of getting their energy from the Sun they got it from down there in the total darkness, which I think is one reason people believe Titan might have life beneath its thick ice crust.  Not sure if they depend on dead stuff dropping down from higher up or not though, I don't know enough about them.
