Some muslims argue that fasting is good for you as it helps rest the digestive system for a perios but I've never seen any solid scientific evidence for that claim. This years ramadan is especially bad as its likely to be warm & I'm damn sure  it's not healthy to dehydrate yourself during warm weather.

When truth is hurled against falsehood, falsehood perishes, for falsehood by its nature is bound to perish.

Let us accept it, for argument's sake. The question is: why can't you and I do it on our own terms? I have a bigger problem with the whole 'you are being tested by allah' thing and 'allah knows everything'.

As for the second point you are right again. The length of the day in different places is not the same, so some people are geographically lucky to have shorter days to fast during Ramadam. Islam is a joke.

Whabbist- you're a very wise man. Where are you from?

DITTO!!!  dont you just love being told you have to put the jigsaw puzzle together,
then allah holds back all the important pieces? LOL

I knew a muslim in alaska.  He would wind up doing three prayers within a couple of hours.
And then he had to contend with six months of light, and six months of darkness.  Ridiculous!

Yeah.. mecca is the center of the world.  And when you look beyond this solar system, this galaxy, this universe, it all seems so trivial and insignificant to say the least lol.

When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.
