"He stated that because the military in the United States and other countries were fighting against Muslims, soldiers were legitimate targets," according to the affidavit.

Whats with the name changes anyway?
Are ya converting to Islam or converting to Arab? Meh, guess its one and the same once ya start getting serious about it.

This is the reason why profiling is misguided. It creates two levels of scrutiny, a high level, and a low level, and the terrorists will simply groom operatives who can pass under the radar and on the low level, in other words jehadis who are from different ethnic backgrounds.

Black, mixed race, white, latino......who would be left to profile.

This profiling business was the name of the game before internet and before computers and before 2002. But in 2010 In this age & time everything that walks, talks, writes and every image that comes on to the screen get stored for 10bucks. Everyone who walks in to a grocery store in west is profiled and that goes to all, White, black, blue, yellow mixed race but they may closely scrutinize people that come from subcontinent with a Muslim name... specially Pakistan and Palestine

I am beginning to wonder if US had more terrorist plots in 2010 than that of the UK. It certainly feels that way from the threads here recently.

Perhaps you are right Islame however up untill now it has been loners and angry young men. there doesnt seem to be any real organised attempt at a biggy , discounting the underpant bomber and even that was probably a set up. Seems either the oppressive post 9/11 security is having an affect or the vast majority of US muslims know what side their bread is buttered on

I would say so, but like mutha said they are of different types. America tends to be more individualistic which opens the doors to more loner loser types plotting on their own. UK has more of islamist fermenting ground.
