    Islam has retrospective theology, everything that came before it is actually claimed by Islam.

    It also has futuristic theology, all things to be discovered in the future, all science etc, is actually Islam.

    It also has present-assimilative theology, where all things modern and good, like human rights, womens rights, free speech, peace and love etc etc, are actually, in fact, Islamic in origin.

    Islam has reverse theology - whenever it causes problems, they are in fact caused by a lack of Islam.  Roll Eyes

    I just read one translation of quran 7:157.

    Those who follow the Messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write (i.e.Muhammad SAW) whom they find written with them in the Taurat (Torah) (Deut, xviii, 15) and the Injeel (Gospel) (John xiv, 16), - he commands them for Al-Ma'ruf (i.e. Islamic Monotheism and all that Islam has ordained); and forbids them from Al-Munkar (i.e. disbelief, polytheism of all kinds, and all that Islam has forbidden); he allows them as lawful At-Taiyibat [(i.e. all good and lawful) as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.], and prohibits them as unlawful Al-Khaba'ith (i.e. all evil and unlawful as regards things, deeds, beliefs, persons, foods, etc.), he releases them from their heavy burdens (of Allah's Covenant), and from the fetters (bindings) that were upon them. So those who believe in him (Muhammad SAW), honour him, help him, and follow the light (the Quran) which has been sent down with him, it is they who will be successful.

    And the references checked out.
    Deut 18:20 But the prophet, that shall speak a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or that shall speak in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die. 21And if thou say in thy heart, How shall we know the word which Jehovah hath not spoken? 22when a prophet speaketh in the name of Jehovah, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which Jehovah hath not spoken: the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously, thou shalt not be afraid of him.

    John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

    Now I am feeling bad of when I challenged muslims of it. Now I will always have to double check what Christians and Jews are claiming.

    Muddy, if you read those chapters in their entirety it's evident that they're not talking about Muhammad.
