  • Petition to End the War on Drugs

    Hi folks,

As a group of rationalists and freethinkers I know many of you are for an evidence based approach towards drug use and against the harmful prohibition dogma. Realising that the war on drugs is a failed policy does not equate to being "pro-drugs", but it does reflect a realisation that this nonsensical policy has simply not worked. Disingenuous from the start, the decades long "War on Drugs" is really a war on people and, as such, it continues to cause the needless suffering of millions of humans across the globe. The harm caused by drug illegality extends far beyond drug abusers and addicts. Consider too their children, partners, extended families and local communities, not to mention those affected by the criminal gangs who, as it stands, have been handed wholesale rights over manufacturing and distribution by governments that indefensibly refuse to regulate the industry.

Please sign this petition to help initiate the open, informed debate and change of tack that is now so long overdue.
