Past memories from one's previous life- that wasn't clear from my previous post.

I still don't understand how memories from a previous life could possibly give you knowledge of the future.  Surely they would be even further from the future than memories from your present life?

Reincarnation- I define it to be as achieving perfection. So you will keep going through several 'lives', from these lives you will further achieve perfection. Same way you do drafts for an assignment?

By undertaking these lives, there will be features and fractures of what happened in previous lives.. the actual occurrence of why these memories conjure up as premonitions is justified. I will have completed the precise plan correctly up to a point, but will have to go from the beginning to get on the next 'life'.

I can't explain it, but I feel that it exists.

I'm no expert, but what you're saying sounds like one of the core hindu beliefs, albeit slightly altered (and with aspects of parallel universes thrown in?).

Stick around nutella, I can see you becoming involved in some very interesting discussions on this forum.

I don't really get what you *don't understand*.

I believe that people have several lives- from these lives which are partly completed.. you will have 'memories' the actual mechanism of how these "memories" enter as premonitions could POSSIBLY be a memory of the memory from the past life.

Again, its my theory into a my own belief.

I kinda agree with Nutty here.
I have no problem believing in reincarnation, but I dont think it has anything to do with like seeking perfection.
I think about the fact that, it is possible that since we're all just made of energy, that our energy might be transferred to another life/body after we die.

    Its hard to explain.

Hang on, I believe you've posted this explanation before? At least it feels that way.

This is now sounding like Groundhog Day...

In what way is it justified?

That's what I am saying- they have come true. I knew I didn't get into medical school before I got my results. I knew my results before I go them. I remember people before I have met them.

    Can you predict lottery numbers?

I can tell you that Andy Murray will get to the semi and will then make a show of himself and of his family and of his nation. Is that an impressive insight?

Just so you can rule out selective bias, and the Texas Sharpshooter Analaogy, have you ever tried recording your premonitions and seeing what percentage of them come out to be true?

    Nuttybebeh,

It's great that you can be open with most people about your apostasy. Many folk feel they can't. With regards you views on reincarnation, a friendly warning: most of the members of this forum have escaped religion and belief based systems of thought. Whilst I should hope and think that everyone here would wholly support your right to your beliefs, you may struggle to find much respect for them unless they can be supported by evidence. Personal experience can be incredibly powerful at confirming in our own mind that which we would like to be true. If others were to experience what you describe, they may rationalise that these are messages from Jesus Christ, or a special insight into the inner workings of the universe, which may indicate that they are some form of higher being or prophet. The problem is, that the evidence for each of these explanations is equivalent: none. One should always consider, what is the simplest, most plausible explanation. There is no physical mechanism arising from our current knowledge that would support your assertions, but are there psychological phenomena that do? Yes. Would that not be a most sensible conclusion to draw?

I would suggest, as Islame has above, that a crucial first step would be to devise an experiment, in order that the experiences you have had can be subjected to sceptical enquiry. Involve some third party volunteers (I am sure you will find some on here), to whom you could notify of your thoughts as soon as they occur. These third parties can then judge whether or not the thoughts hold any predictive capability by the calculation of an accuracy rate. When compared to some control subjects (we have some very imaginative minds on this forum who I am sure would love to make predictions of the future), this would give you an idea at least of whether there is a phenomenon worthy of further thought and theorising. How would you feel about doing this? If you genuinely feel that you have discovered a feature of our existence that violates much of what we think we know about the universe, it would be prudent to investigate further, don't you think?

    Cracking post mate. Great advice.

And it makes me ashamed of taking the piss, instead of offering something helpful.
