Sahih bukhari help needed!!

So while reading sahih bukhari, i noticed that in the physical book they have broken down this one hadith into several.. Online it is just ONE hadith but in the book it seems to be broken down into smaller ones and this results in the hadith reference messing up :s

i dont know which one's correct, the online one or the one in the book..

here's the ONLINE one: -

Bukhari Volume 1, Book 6, Number 298:

Narrated 'Aisha:

The Prophet and I used to take a bath from a single pot while we were Junub. During the menses, he used to order me to put on an Izar (dress worn below the waist) and used to fondle me. While in Itikaf, he used to bring his head near me and I would wash it while I used to be in my periods (menses).

ok it is really bugging me...

looking at other hadith the references are completely different... any way to find out whats going on here?

like i can find the same hadith online and in the book but the reference is totally different...

the hadith would always be in the right volume, but the book number and hadith numbers are different online when compared to the books.. sometimes radically different i.e online it would be number 409 and in the physical book 3008 :s
