I found this interesting. Someone linked me to it, and although it really isn't anything I haven't read before in other contexts it does demonstrate something about fundamentalists.

It's often said here that leaving Islam is unique because of the effects on the psyche, and the social and family effects. I've often thought that this isn't really true. Some Christians (and presumably also Jews and other religious groups) are just as out there as the Muslims. Also, like conservative Muslims, the more extreme Christians are actually the norm over large areas.

    Anyway: Non-believing Preachers, Listen Up!

    It's worth reading for comparison.

    Very interesting article.
It makes me wonder how many priests/pastors/ministers/"prophets" are only in it for the benefits rather than simply honest (deluded) belief? It still doesn't compute, when you look at megachurches and televangelists who are preaching humility and charity yet working out of extravagant facilities and showing up to church in a Ferrari.

    walshark.. they were gifts! LOL

When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.
