    I'm studying Continental Philosophy: A Very Short Introduction by Simon Critchley and came across this nice little gem:

    "...if there is a void at the heart of my metaphysical beliefs, then I might as well just shrug my shoulders and mutter, 'Oh well, I guess that's just the way it is'. We might think of this as 'armchair nihilism', classically expressed in the character of Eeyore in Winnie the Pooh."
