Anyone here into fire dance? I know some basic poi moves but I would love to learn some awesome techniques and maybe actually do it with fire

I'm trying to find some of the better video's I've seen in the past. Either way it's a beautiful art form and if you haven't already seen it, check it out .

I have spun fire poi before, though not for awhile. I'm a little reluctant now as well to go near fire as my apartment burnt down. (not from poi, but it did make me wary!)

Ouch.. sorry to hear about that! I hope there wasn't too much loss... Fire is both a beautiful and destructive thing.

Did you learn to spin poi on your own? What got you into it?

Yes, there was a great website for learning that I will try to dig up for you (if you haven't seen it already.) I think I just saw it somewhere at a festival once and thought I should try it out!
