  • Dream sequences, drug trips, hallucination scenes
     OP - June 24, 2012, 07:31 PM

I've been assigned to choose a film/tv scene to compose music to and I feel like going for a head trip with a dream, hallucination or just an otherworldly bit along those lines.  I'm not much of a film buff and the only scene that came to mind was Dumbo's dream of pink elephants and that's only because Sun Ra covered the score!

    So, any recommendations?

Music (B.Mus).  I'm looking to go into composition, including for film as well as sound design.

Sounds like a lot of fun. I'm thinking of taking music production classes.

Anyway, I really like your choice. But Dumbo is my childhood favourite movie.

Hello mate sounds like a great assignment. Will try and think of any good sequences like that.

That is awesome. Is the film itself any good?

Here is another trippy space scene from 2001: A Space Oddessy:

Not bad considering it was made in 1968.
