eteorological Department said in a statement that the crescent would be seen easily as the sky was clear in most part of the country. It said that Eid-ul-Azaha would be celeberated on October 27.However, final decision would be taken by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.

I can see moon... Now we can start starving..

I recommend the Saudi Government agrees with NASA that NASA supplies all astronomical data as required, by appointment to Allah?

I think I have a programme on this computer that will give all the relevant dates for the next billion years. Actually, how come Allah didn't give that info to uncle Mo?

What is the theological meaning of seeing the new moon? Does one go to hell if you miss it?

Does the koran permit them to use telescopes?

Pity. I was hoping to argue that use of anything not available to uncle mo is innovation, (what is the theological term?) and therefore good Muslims should not use anything invented later than 600........

I thought the Koran was God's final and perfect revelation and uncle mo is the last and most perfect of the prophets. Therefore anything post uncle mo is by definition imperfect or satanic...
