Devastating. It's bordering on genocide or about to come close to it any moment it seems

The religious minorities(including christians, ahmadis who ever else) should create their own large community in one area and arm themselves with rifles, shotguns, handguns and as much firearms as they can.

They should fight back with guns, knives, guard dogs and whatever they can every time a religious mob come to harm them.

The mobs will stop coming if they realize they'll have to pay a price of their havoc their causing.

In my opinion a life without curiosity is not a life worth living

In my opinion it's high time the U.S., E.U. and India put sanctions on Pakistan as well as political pressure to force Pakistan to stop the persecution of those innocent people.

Put an end to all aid/funding being sent to the Pakistani military and armed forces especially the nuclear program.

The army and government will stop being so arrogant when they realize they are nothing without international aid.

If it means they have to leave their current houses and jobs, they should rather just leave for another country. More effective.

    Will India accept refugees ?

Because lets face it, there is not any other country nearby besides India where they can live without being persecuted.

Not only are you asking for a full blown out civil war by suggesting this, it'll be much more easier for the Taliban, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi and other terrorist groups to massacre whole communities knowing where the Pakistani non-muslims are finally at. Not to mention how absurd this suggestion is...

Pakistan is a failed state, but sanctions only make a country poorer, thus breeding more extremists, criminals, murders, thieves from those already surviving on nothing. And with Pakistan's political tensions with India and the USA, the last thing it needs is to lose their nukes (not that I support nuclear weapons). Ultimately the poor lose out and the middle class get poorer while the rich can simply move to the Middle East or the West.

    I have a question.

How do Shias view Sunnis? Is the hate mostly one-sided or do Shias retaliate violently against Sunnies

^ Good question. Can any of our ex-Shi'a members enlighten us on the Shi'a perspective re Sunnis?

I remember all the talk of "Shi'a death squads" in Iraq during the war but other than that, the violence is almost always Sunni-on-Shi'a. Idk if that's because Sunnis are more violent (I don't know much about Shi'a theology) or just because they have bigger numbers. Though, even in Iraq where Shi'as are the majority, Sunnis blow up Shi'as  Huh?

The vast majority are fine with Sunnis and want unity. When they become more religious, they start hating on the first 3 Caliphs and so on...but most think of Sunnis as brothers. My family has "accidentally" converted white Aussie Sunni converts to Shia Islam. Each time, it was the same story: they ask my parents what they think of Sunnis, my parents tell them "they're our brothers"...They come back later and want to be Shia, because they say when they ask Sunnis about Shias, Sunnis start cursing, and the evil Shias seem to be kinder and more civilized. lol.

Oh about the violence, I know this: During the US invasion of Iraq, there was an influx of Sunni terrorism against the Shia majority, like car bomb after car bomb in shops, holy sites etc. In retaliation, Jaysh Al-Mahdi (Shia militia group) started going around mosques and recruiting members as a direct response to Sunni killing. Shias have been passive after their failed uprising against Saddam, and Jaysh Al-Mahdi has a lot of support by people that want revenge and so on.
