  • Hi from California
     OP - March 15, 2014, 10:55 PM

    Hello,

I'm new here.  I have never been Muslim so being Ex-Muslim is not an option for me, however for each and every God or religion that any person does not believe, I will gladly join them in not believing the same religion or God.

It is my goal to not believe in any deity, as well as not believing in all deities, and especially the entire set of deities that have been invented.  Since the set of invented deities contains all deities, my not believing is cut out for me.

I am an Ex-Catholic, and when I say Ex, boy, do I mean Ex.

I've also selected the following optional modules

    • atheist
    • queer
    • vegan
    • green

I've been queer for 65 years, atheist for 50 years, vegan for 20 years, and I have been driving an electric car for two months.

I live with my legally married same sex husband on a secure hilltop guarded by our own gates.  This way we are fairly safe from marauding bands of theists.

I spend very much of my time ridiculing religion, mostly Christianity because it poses a real and present danger to my legal rights, as has been demonstrated.

I created and host a large number of websites of the genre "God Hates x" where x can be one of Barbers, Brats, Equal Rights, Mixed Fibers, Pork and/or Vaginas.

I believe it is my moral and ethical duty to ridicule ancient superstitions used to justify bigotry and intolerance.

When I'm not ridiculing religions I enjoy photographing hummingbirds and other life forms, container gardening, and gluten-free vegan cooking.

    I'm also a grandfather.

    So that's me.

    Steve

Welcome Steve, have a parrot. parrot I'm also an atheist from a catholic family. What brings you to an ex-muslim site?

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.
`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'

I wanted to better understand what happens when a Muslim becomes no longer Muslim.

I'm sort of expecting it often happens that Ex-Muslims are atheist or agnostic.

Sometimes deist also but yeah, mostly atheist/agnostic.

So I remember years ago seeing god hates women, god hates goths, god hates the disabled, god hates so and so, was that you? How long you been at it?

`But I don't want to go among mad people,' Alice remarked.
`Oh, you can't help that,' said the Cat: `we're all mad here. I'm mad.  You're mad.'

Well, you've come to the right place to ridicule religion. Mostly islam as you can guess but some pretty good christianity bashing every now and then. Smiley

Well I guess it is Celebrity, a hybrid.  Followed by Patio which makes smaller tomatoes but in large quantities.

Interesting. Did you ever plant something that exceeded all expectations? What was it? I mean in a container..

Welcome, from Connecticut! How I envy you now, it is freezing over here!  Grin

I am so glad you've been able to live your life freely, you sound very happy.

Your interests sound like a lot of fun, actually. I once (long story) got hired as a cook at a vegan/vegetarian cafe, restaurant and bakery. I didn't and still do not have any idea how to cook, but I learned a thing or two from our customers about health and food and environmental problems. It was a lot of fun. I keep meaning to start gardening when I get more time.

Anyway, that's awesome. I have this image in my head of you having a fantastic lifestyle flipping off a bunch of angry theists from your hilltop sanctuary.

Edit: I hope osmanthus doesn't see the vegan bakery part.

For sandwich tomatoes I like Celebrity, it provides the largest tomatoes on vigorous plants.  For cooking use I prefer Patio as it does very well in containers - by design. Some might say new varities of tomato plants are developed by Intelligent Designers, but this does not apply to the highly crush resistant orangish-red globes sold in supermarket as "tomatoes".

Old age - I see now I already answered this.
