Do colleges keep your GCSE certificates on enrolment day?

I may have accidentally given my exam results to my college, which I need to apply for work and stuff.

Are you sure they were your GCSE certificates and not the results letter/slip?

Either way, the answer is no (not for me when I applied anyway). I'm sure you can ask them and they'll give it back.

What's the difference? I gave them the papers I got on results day.

Were they from your school or the exam board. If they were from your school, they'll probably be just a results letter. If they were from the exam boards with each one providing their own distinct certificates then those are your certificates (a quick google image search will show you what they look like). Your certificates are more important because you'll need them in the future.

Well then, I guess I have to ask for it back. Thank you for the help Naz. Afro

You'll get certificates around November/December Hash.
You only get the A4 sheet on results day... your school will let you know when the certificates have arrived.
If you're worried then just send a teacher an email or something in order to confirm.

If you gave your results sheet back by mistake, just ask for it (speak with whoever is in charge of your exams/admissions). It's not a massive problem if it's lost tbh... the certificates are the "hard" copy.
Do you think that you might have given the results sheet back with the brown envelope?
You know when you sit down with a teacher to confirm your choices..

My mind runs, I can never catch it even if I get a head start.
